Awesome Malaysian food. Real Malaysians work there too

Service here was horrible. BOTH TIMES, I stood at the doorway for 5 mins just waiting in an empty restaurant to be seated. Once I got seated, they didn't give us any water, I had to ask for it, and I had to ask for the menu as well. Then they kept skipping over me when I wanted to order. The food was the only thing that kept me from zeroing the rating altogether.

My go to dishes are the curry tofu mee and the hainese chicken with rice. The lady fingers with prawn sauce is also good. Get an abc shaved ice if you have a sweet tooth.

Authentic Malaysian food, large clean restaurant. Friendly staff and can accommodate large parties. The Roti Canai (roti prata) Indian bread with chicken curry is a must try. Hainan Chicken rice and mixed satay were also nice, reminiscent of what I've eaten in Singapore. Worth a visit if you are anywhere near the Brooklyn Sunset Park Chinatown.

As for Malay food it's just ok. The food comes across as a bit bland at times and flavorful other times. There's just no consistency. If you try something that you liked and order it again chances are you will not get the same tasting dish. There's a young server woman who has a nose ring that had no manners and was rude. When you get your change back It's strewn about the counter and your bills are crumpled and basically thrown at you. Customer service is the benchmark for any restaurant and that's just poor service. I recommend Nyonya on 86th street. Great service and more authentic tasting food.
