Staff is really friendly and helpful with the tasting. The tasting is a fun experience, and the space is cool. The only problem is that the wine is just not that great in my humble opinion. That said, it's a quintessential Red Hook experience and your palette may be different from mine, so definitely check it out.

We went to red hook just to try the wine tasting here, and we are glad we did! For only $12 you can taste 6 different wines. The white ones were amazing, try the Chris selection and you will finish buying a bottle or 2. They do not have food or outside seating but the rustic ambiance, standing using a barrel as a table, is good enough to keep us happy.

Stopped here on the whim yesterday with a friend from out of town. We had an amazing time! I love the rustic feel to the place. The wine is tasty! - I really liked the buttery taste of the chardonnay. Also, the staff are a bunch of great guys that are very passionate and full of wine knowledge as well as very generous with suggestions for local spots to try.
Also, the location has a great view of the statue of liberty.
I look forward to tasting their upcoming vintage! =)

My wife & I tried four different wines and liked all of them. Everyone was very friendly! Great view of the Statue of Liberty.

The newly reopened Red Hook winery is a perfect place to enjoy some wine with a great atmosphere and view. After hurricane Sandy, the winery has reopened and is super chic but unpretentious. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the vintages. It is a great place to sit and enjoy a tasting or your favorite Eine from a tasting and soak in the great view.
