I like to drop in here for a beer or two when I am down near City Hall. So many places are getting too trendy downtown. This is a comfortable place where I can still hang my hat and hang.

We come from Cincinnati, OH area and
We instantly felt right at home. Our waitress/bartender ROCKED!!! The drinks are poured heavy like a drink should be and the food was fantastic. This place is the closest restaurant that stayed open through 9/11 tragedy and fed and still feeds every September 11, the men and women of law enforcement, fire and rescue squads of NY, NY free of charge. I am not in any way affiliated with them so don't hold them accountable if I heard it wrong. It was truly a blessing to stumble upon this gem.

Wandered into this place after a local out front who had just left the bar could tell we were searching for a place to get some drinks. She turned out to be the super in the building next door and followed us back in and chatted with us. We had an awesome time here. Inexpensive, authentic bar with a friendly bartender that is no fuss and no frills. Exactly what we were after. Highly recommend.
