My son was at day camp when we got the call that he had an accident. They told us he had a laceration to the head and would need stitches. This was our first experience with stitches for our children. We were met at Winthrop Hospital by Dr. Ruotolo. Her kindness and warmth immediately calmed me, my husband, and our 6-year-old son. Dr. Ruotolo treated him with respect and was so patient with our son’s many questions. We were so appreciative of the excellent care, extra time and true compassion Dr. Ruotolo took to make us all feel more comfortable during a very scary time.
