Reviews to Quest Diagnostics NYC West 14th Street
Save yourself the time and aggravation. Visit one of their other locations. On top of waiting almost 45 minutes before being seen with 1 scheduled appointment and 2 walk-ins before us and 4 people on staff (mostly conversing with each other), the woman takes my script and says "I can't read this!" You work in a lab that accepts doctors written scripts daily ma'am. She then says, "This is from Puerto Rico. We don't accept scripts from foreign countries." After she said that, instead providing a teaching moment, I left, walked up to the 26th St location where I was in and out in 15 minutes. Several things to note. 1. Quest has offices in PR and when I am in PR I get my blood-work drawn there. 2. Since I live in NYC & PR I have used facilities in both places with my Dr's in NYC and PR and have never had any issue. The real irony was that this woman had some sort of Caribbean accent yet referred to an American territory filled with American Citizens as a "foreign country". The laziness, poor customer service and good ole fashioned ignorance was enough to make this location a one and done experience for me.

Awful attendant/technician. Unsmiling, bored, with an attitude. She asked me to sign the form attesting to the fact that the blood to be drawn from me was in tubes with my name on them, and then she never followed up to show me these tubes with my name on them. She jabbed me so hard with the needle I've had black and blue marks now all week. When she was finished with me, she rushed me out before I could finish putting my shirt on and said "have a good day____" using my last name only, and this to someone nearly three times her age. And though the results were supposed to be sent to my doctor the next morning, they had to call Quest later in the day because they never received them. She should be fired. As others here have commented, 0 stars isn't an option, which is why I had to give them 1 star.

0 stars isn't an option unfortunately, so why 1 star? Because the service is absolutely horrific in every stage of interaction: in the poorly staffed and unclean facilities, to the turnaround time for results and -extreme- delay for billing (received mine after nearly 5 months), to unresponsiveness from the call system and its available hours (gone in the middle of the day), to the rude and unhelpful call staff. At no point in my interaction with this business did I feel that it was even on average with a typical business.

I arrived early and the center opened a little late, but only a few minutes. When I got to the floor the attendant
coldly told me to take a seat. there was no one else there. I had a small dog in my arms (less than 10 lbs) because I had to put his companion to sleep last week. Attendant asked if he was a service dog that dogs were not allowed and that I should leave. He told me there was a sign, (I looked at building entrance and found it after 3 tries, it was less than 6 inches at the street bottom of one of three entrance doors almost invisible, I had not seen it.) I needed a lyme test and felt sick, I went back upstairs and again asked it he would. I could have spoken nicer but was not at all aggressive. I felt sick and my dog is a frightened dog and was shaking. He said he would call the police if I did not leave. Seriously, this is health care?
