Great atmosphere, service, and food. Steak tartar is just ok though. Good cocktails as well. One of my favorite steak houses in NYC.

Quite excellent! We split the porter house between 4 people and it was a beautiful sight to behold! The steak was cooked to perfection. As sides we elected the jalapeno quinoa hush puppies, Brussels sprouts, and pan crisped potatoes. All excellent. Perhaps what was most noteworthy was the salad. The seasonal specialty was a Caprese salad with the sweetest tomatoes I have ever had. accompanied by blue cheese, bacon, and onion rings, this "salad" was an absolute treat. Service was excellent. The ice cream offerings for dessert were outstanding. While we were seated at a small table (quite too small for all that we had ordered since everything was shared and passable, and taking into consideration wine and water glasses) the ambiance was quite lovely.

Would give 2.5 if I could for the very average experience. I would say this was a very mixed review. They bring cheese to the table with broken Ritz on top...odd and trying hard to be fancy...but how could it be fancy with broken crackers on top. One person in party ate Rib Eye and absolutely loved it...and tomato soup was also excellent. Ribs were mediocre, mimicking Chinese take out ribs, and chicken was very tough to the point of almost unedible, except for the small piece of thigh meat on the plate. Mushrooms were absolutely discusting and totally unedible according to everyone in party, but creamed spinach and waffle fries were delicious. Very nice atmosphere, lighting, and comfortable seating, but prices were extremely high. Everything is a la carte, and $50 dinners come with nothing. Take from this review what you will, but it is all true.
