Primavera's Cafe & Restaurant

I have eaten here many times. The pizza is always great. I have also had many family dinners and events and the service is wonderful.

We absolutely LOVE this place. We are a neighborhood business and order catering and regular food from here frequently. We've tried just about every pie on their menu and all of their hot food and sandwiches as well. The food is always fresh and the fried calamari is DELICIOUS and is a favorite among our employees . The orders are always right and Sly, the owner, although initially I was scared of him, turned out to be pretty nice. If you haven't tried their pizzas or food, I HIGHLY recommend you give this local spot a try.

Eat at LITTLE ITALY in LINDEN instead! I ordered delivery online, they quoted me a time that was way off from when the delivery man came. When he finally came he proceeded to bang on the door like a maniac. I ran to the door and he was so busy cursing up a storm on the phone, he didn't realize I was already there. I addressed his inappropriate behavior calmly and he complained about having to take peoples "crap" all day and he's sick of (all types of) "it." VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! He stated that he didn't even care if I took the food or not, so I refused it. I called in to complain and received a nonchalant response where the so called manager admitted that he has been a pain, but offered no opportunity to reconcile the situation....very upsetting. I don't care how good you think your food/brand is if people are willing to patron your establishment you should treat them with the respect you would require if you were a customer.

My boyfriend and I decided to meet up there since he was working late in Jersey City and I was at Fort Dix.

We parked the cars and walked up to the quaint restaurant. The manager/owner (I'm assuming) walked in behind and asked if we were dining in and immediately seated us.

The waitress brought us every menu they had and had our drinks on the table promptly. She also has their delicious bread out as well.

I had the stuffed chicken with rice and vegetables and my boyfriend had the Ravioli Valentino with shrimp. OMG! There was NOTHING wrong with any of it!! Everything was flavorful, incredibly delicious and very well presented. I think it's the first dinner we had with minimal conversation. Every bite completely took over our taste buds.

After dinner, we decided to try one of their ice cream truffles (the little menu is on every table). We ordered the Amaretto trifle. GEE-SUZ! It was like "sex in your mouth", according ti my boyfriend. Lol! It's a little (a little smaller than a baseball) ball of Amaretto ice cream, dipped in chocolate, rolled in almonds, drizzled with chocolate syrup, served with whipped cream and sprinkled with AWESOME! It was by far one of the best desserts that we've ever had!

We finished the night with some espresso, which was also phenomenal, and a surprise on our check. Desserts and espresso were on the house!

We loved the serve, we loved the atmosphere, we loved the customer care and most of all, we loved the food!! We're already planning our next trip. It's most definitely worth the 45 minute drive north.

I went to the restaurant to make a reservation for a corporate event but I was asked to call again and speak to Sly (the owner's brother ?) to make the reservation, what I did. A few days later I called again to confirm and there was no reservation but OK, they said they made it and everything was "all set". The day of my event I arrived with my team and they didn't have a table ready and clean plates.

The food and service were awful. I will never go back there again !
