Prestige of Linden

I called and e-mailed the night before going there about 3 X5's they had on eBay and Craigslist. 2 salesman confirmed that the X5's were there. I drove almost 2 hours with wife and 2 little kids only to find out the X5's were already sold the week before. I called again while outside and asked for one of the X5's on eBay. I was once again told it was in the Linden lot. I called him out and said I am outside and the X5 is not there. He got upset and said to talk to the salesman again that was already talking to me outside. DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE GUYS. ITS A BAIT AND SWITCH TACTIC!!! Look somewhere else and save yourself some headache!

After purchasing my husband's car at the Avenel location 2 years ago, we knew that Prestige Auto Group was
the best place to buy a used luxury vehicle for a great price. When we were ready to purchase, we searched the
inventory and headed out to the Avenel location again to see a few of the vehicles we were looking for.
Unfortunately none of those were good enough. The very next week, more inventory came in and the car I was
looking for was at the Linden location. I called to make sure it was on the lot and when walking in, was greeted
by Al. This was his first week on the job but he did everything we needed and I can't be happier with the vehicle
we purchased. It is in PERFECT condition!!! had ALL of the upgraded features and at an excellent price

I specifically asked them if they gonna increase a price when I get there, they said no they won't guaranteed!!! Bull Sh.t!!!!
They said that's what they do, tell people to come over and negotiate on a spot!!

The minute I laid my eyes on this place I was like....what is this it looks like a shack. I was greeted by a guy (who's name I do not remember) and asked me what car I was looking for. I said A grey Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 with 50000 miles. The salesman looks at me like I'm crazy or something and says...um.. ok come inside well take a look. I went inside sat down at his desk and he immediately asked me how are you paying cash or finance ,in which i responded, I dont know yet. I haven't even looked at the car yet and he asked me that 4 times within the 10-15 minutes I was there. I asked him if I can test drive the car and he surprisingly told me I can only do that during the process of purchasing... Who does that?! The customer has to test drive the car first before he or she even thinks about buying the vehicle. During a test drive you have the feel of the car how it was taking car of and seeing if everything works from the navigation system to the sunroof and so on. We finally go take a look at the car and i turn it on and the engine just sounded poorly maintained and unhealthy. after taking a look for 5 minutes. He then asked me what I would rate this car and without hesitation said 6. He then shockingly said Why? I answered saying the engine doesnt sound healthy at all and thats major deduction and also it has over 50k miles it shouldn't sound that like. The fact that he said I could not test drive the car and the engine not sounding like it should sounds an alarm in my head that this salesman is not honest, and rude. And I'm sorry I cannot take this place seriously the fact that it looks like a shack its small and just looks like a dump. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Went here to shop for an used car (used Bimmer 330xi). Although I had a problem financing the car I wanted, I had an amazing experience at this dealership. And trust me, I have been to about 10 dealerships in NJ/NY area for the last 4 weeks. I was helped by Steve Perelman, one of the sales rep. He may have a strong impression at first, but when it came to business, he was sincerely willing to help me find a car I want, (rather than just to sell any car to me.) Entire team at this dealership was very communicative, honest and courteous, and also they were clear and straight-forward when it came to pricing. Because of my budget, I had to go with a cheaper car at another dealership, but the cars they had were very well-maintained, in very good conditions, and reasonably priced. A lot of used-car dealerships advertise about cars they say they have (even when you check on the phone before your visit), only to find out they don't have them, or they have different price tags, but it didn't seem to be the case here. I strongly recommend this place (and Steve) to anyone who is shopping for a reasonably-priced, premium-brand car.
