Pop's Seafood Shack & Grill

Came here with some friends. It wasn't the closest to our house, but it was nice. The beach nearby is very nice to walk on and so is the boardwalk. We walked for a few hours at night. The food was good, but I don't order fish/seafood so I can't speak to that. There was a ladies happy hour when we went, which was also good.

I go here at least 1x a week in the summertime always by boat - docking is rarely an issue

Great drinks - Great food - super cool tropical beach look & feel will allow you to escape the NYC jungle for a few hours!

Racism @ it's finest... all because they must assume that being black and wearing a hat is either a) bad for business b) an indicator the hat wearer is a gang banger. Either way, when I reached out to them about their bigotry and shady practices they accused me of lying stating verbatim the same ridiculous excuse they gave my husband for why he couldn't wear a hat but the 4 Caucasian gentleman who entered after us were excluded from this policy (supposedly they had been their since noon - but we watched them walk in after us @ 9 pm). Since they are adamantly unapologetic for their clear racism citing in their response to our complaint that 50% of their security personnel is African American (relevance?) I will continue to make it very known that Pop's rules are selectively enforced and if you so choose to patronize their establishment do your best to dress in the least intimidating manner possible.

Nice atmosphere. Sitting by the beach is great but waiting for a table for 2 hours is odee.

Love this Pop's, this may be my new favorite bar! I went here around 3 PM on a Friday night. You can literally be drinking on the sand in beach chairs, which overlook the dock. The outdoor space is HUGE and even have a stand outside for food in addition to the restaurant portion in side. I would definitely come back again.
