Love the food. Very unique. A little pricey but worth it. My favorite dish was a mustard green with q chicken filler to make wraps. So good.

Three of us visited for lunch and the food was little too authentic for our stomach. We did not feel great after we got back home and all of us are used to eating a lot of Thai food. Chicken wings were great...minced duck not so much.
The waiter recommended that we share 1 to 2 menu items per person. He was probably high on something. One item per person and 1-2 appetizers to share is sufficient.
Was not worth the trip from Manhattan and a little too pricey for the location and quality/portion.
We visited Pok Pok with high expectation and our friend was disappointed.

For a Michelin starred location, this place was just ok. I'm not sure what the fuss is all about . I was extremely excited about Andy after seeing the Farang Munchies episode.
Their Khao Soi was lacking in depth and heat. If you want the good stuff head over to Pig and Khao in the LES and save yourself a trip to middle of nowhere brooklyn.
Their fish sauce wings were good but nothing to write home about. We also asked for them to be spicy but there was barely a kick.
TLDR; good if you're in the area--if you're coming from Manhattan skip.

The menu is supposed to be shared. Take advantage of this!
Delicious chicken wings. The pork belly curry was fantastic!
Be careful with the boar collar because it's super spicy.
The condensed milk ice cream with fried donuts were also delicious!

For the hype, Pok Pok doesn't stick out as one of the best "authentic" Thai places in the city. The wait can be over an hour at night for the cramped space inside, so you may be better off getting it to go. Service was a bit spotty and not very personable. The beer menu is good with some craft beer that hold up well to the spice. For an authentic Thai place that eschews dishes like pad thai, the spice level is definitely Americanized and none of the dishes we had had much spice at all. The fish sauce wings were the only standout dish with a nice tangy sauce and served as full wings including the tip with plenty of meat and a great crisp level. The entrees were a bit boring though. The mussel dish was a bit too eggy in consistency and while the mussels were tasty, it could have used way more flavor to bring out the combination of ingredients. The pork shoulder curry was slightly more flavorful, but also could have been way spicier. The meat was nice and tender but had a ton of fat still attached. Both dishes were fairly small for a full entree as well, and most disappointingly didn't come with rice nor was it suggested. Uncle Boone's seemed like a much more complete and full flavored meal for authentic Thai.
