This place is an absolute joke. They never open on time and it doesn't matter what time your app Is either because you won't be seen for atleast another two hours anyways. Last time I was there at 9 and nobody opened the door for us even though we saw someone peak their heads out to look at us from inside. Avoid this place at all costs

Find a better place. If your appointment is at 10, they'll call you at 11 and you'll be done by 1

They are ridiculous with scheduling. I had an 11 am appt which I was on time for. After 2.5 hours, I still haven't seen a doctor. It took 2 hours just to get weight and blood work. To top is off, they are NOT over crowded. In my time here, I've seen only 6 people. How the hell could they move this slow. Its the worse place ever. I advise people to use another location. I hate this location.

This was my first time ever going to a Planned Parenthood location and I've disappointed. More like angered but you'll read why. I set an appointment for 10am the day before and when I arrive, I see about 20 guests waiting to be served. Me, thinking they were walk-in appointments, I wasn't phased. I signed in and they gave me a number. Cool. I expected to be seen right away but that wasn't the case. These 20 patients waiting also had appointments. And the place said on their site and on their doors that they opened at 8:30am right? Okay. Case is they only had ONE receptionist and she is an older lady and slow at that, with what seems to be an assistant with an attitude problem, helping her. I knew I'd have to wait and I'm usually patient but in my head, the grandma from the Statefarm commercial kept on saying over and over in my head, "There's 20 patients ahead of you, Jimmy," so I began to get impatient after 20 minutes. I then overhear the slow receptionist and Ms. Attitude telling a guest that they would probably wouldn't be seen until 1pm! And she had the same appt time as me! After hearing that, I wasn't waiting until that time to be seen especially when I followed protocol and booked ahead. For God's sake, I had an interview at 12pm and they weren't going to notify people that very important detail when you see people have APPOINTMENTS. So I left. The second receptionist, who was late but nice, was the one who was honest with me about the wait time, which is the only reason why I gave them a star (the other star is for the phone receptionist who helped me book my next appointment in Ironbound and made it seem like she was doing something about the situation, even if she wasn't).

Like come on now. That's ridiculous. It's the Planned Parenthood of the Metropolitan Area! I would expect faster service for the community as that is how we live our daily lives. Plus, I had an agenda for the day and I wasted time traveling there by public transportation, with an hour and change to do nothing when I could've been sleeping in my bed longer or doing something else that was relevant. Waiting for a new doctor as a new patient under my health insurance would have taken me months to just be seen but I expected PP to be more prepared and organized because of that. PLEASE DO BETTER!

The receptionist is rude and slow as molasses. She motioned me through the receptionist window and then proceeded to have an attitude with me because I couldn't hear her. The workers always manage to be "fashionably" late because they never open on the time listed on the door or internet. Next time I'll take the day off and go to PP in Montclair.
