Reviews to Place to Beach
On August 28th, my girlfriends and I went to A Place To Beach, a restaurant in Coney Island. We each had food and one margarita. After I drank about half of my drink, I started to feel my legs going numb. I knew right away that something was wrong, so I went to sit down, and I began to throw up. One of my girlfriends took me to the restroom where I passed out. A bouncer went into the restroom and said that the owner wanted us out of the restaurant. My girlfriend pleaded with them, explaining that she didn't know what was wrong with me, that I only drank half a glass of margarita, and that I'm a decent person. Yet, the bouncer picked me up and took me outside of the restaurant, and left me on the boardwalk. When I came to, I was in the emergency room, strapped to a bed. I was dazed and confused, and didn't know what had happened to me. My cell phone and designer eyeglasses were stolen at the restaurant. I knew I was drugged. The whole day was a nightmare that I wish no one ever has to experience. I felt the need to warn people about my experience in this restaurant.

Guys, how bout a visual drink menu somewhere on the front of the place? I'm waiting in line trying to decide what I want to drink and all I see is burritos or tacos... You can't drink a taco! Not One place does it say what drinks you offer.

I came here over the summer with a whole bunch of coworkers as part of the livingsocial eat and play experience, wristband & all. After an afternoon of exploring the rides, we finally made out way over to Place to Beach (bit of a walk, tucked pretty far back from the exit we came out of)
After much deliberation, I used my $10 voucher for a $13 steak burrito, opting for about everything I could add (including guac). Burrito was juicy and flavorful, although it must have been the guac. Coworkers complained their meal had little to no flavor...
Besides splitting the burrito with me, s/o and I topped off this snack with sangria and frozen margaritas. I can't speak to the 'ritas on the rocks but the frozen ones came out looking like a Wendy's frosty and packed a surprising punch. SO's red sangria tasted grapey while the white was less fruity-sweet but much tastier.
I enjoyed myself, with the company, food & drinks. Our time there was made even more special by a wedding party walking through-- nice bride let her bridesmaids wear some gorgeous toga dresses!
