Lots of trees provide shadow and nature feel, more suited to little toddlers

The views of the city are amazing and there are many places to crash with a picnic blanket. Because the bridge/walkway was closed, it was a pain to get to the Pier. There are decent bathrooms and food trucks available.

Great place to come for a picnic etc. I was here on Memorial Day and it was populated, but nowhere near being overcrowded. Great views of the city, just remember to bring a blanket and know they do not allow portable chairs for some reason.

Great place to go in the summer or warmer weather. There are tennis courts, volley ball courts, a playground. There is a small concession stand selling Italian ices (yummy. cold and delicious), ice cream, and a few other snacks. It is close to the ferry to Governor's Island. There is parking on the street or a parking lot next to the park, which charges a small fee. It is a fun place to relax on a lazy hazy summer's day. Watch the boats go up and down the river.
