I ordered the blue point oysters and the grilled octopus salad. They were very very good. My server Nicole was attentive and answered all of my questions about the menu. The beer was fresh and served in a nice pint glass. I even bought a sweatshirt from the bartender Ricky who was very accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant for seafood lovers. Great overall experience.

Petes Clam Bar is an excellent choice if you are looking to enjoy fine dining with calming views of the water. Their staff is very friendly and the food is reasonably priced. I have been a repeat customer for a reason.

They always make sure I don't go thirsty and the wait staff is on their game. I would recommend Pete's to anyone looking to enjoy an evening escape before an outing or just to have a nice meal with beautiful scenery. Check out Pete's today, they dont disappoint.

Thank You all for your continued excellent service!! I will see you all again soon!
Until next time,

-Steve

I tried the restaurant side 2 times. The first time I ordered snow crab legs, and they came with a garlic scent to them. When asked of the smell they claimed to have basted them in garlic. I don't know about anyone else but I have never had garlic on crab legs. When I went to eat them they had an ammonia taste to them. The manager was nasty and argued with me. I only paid for the appetizer and drinks. When I went home I googled crab legs and ammonia taste and it exclaimed ammonia taste was due to the meat decomposing. I think they tried to cover it up i garlic sauce.

Almost a year later I tired them again and this time we ordered 2 clam bakes and an order of Paea.
The all three came with half lobsters. I never heard of half lobsters before always a full lobster or tails. I was willing to pay for the full lobster for an aditional $13.00, for both clam bakes. and kept the half lobster for the para. However The clam bake lobster's were nasty as can be with a black geletin consistancy from the middle to all the way down the tail. and smelled nasty. The clams were ok but the mussels were old and half of the mussels in the plate were not even considered mussels. The Paea's was nasty as well, even the sausage had a bad taste. Not to mention the lobster bisque soup was way watered down, and the clams on the half shell were warm not cold as they should be.
Again I complained to the Manager who was another person than the last one and he two was nasty. I only paid for the drinks, watered down soup, and warm clams on the half shell that my daughter ate under protest... They should advertise next weeks specials. "Last years catch"
I not going for strike three.
Their out.

We visited the clam bar and sat outside, ordering the calamari with the plain sauce, the lobster grilled cheese, and the steamers. All were great. The warm lobster grilled cheese is everything a lobster roll could ever want to be. The plain sauce with the calamari can be tweaked at the table with hot sauce and horseradish. The steamers were hot, fat and tasty.

Peter's is off the main travel arteries, but worth the stop if you are up for a driving adventure or in the neighborhood.
