Finally A Diagnosis!

I had a very strange condition happen to me. For a number of months, I was feeling very fatigued all the time. I am a diabetic and mentioned how I was feeling to my Internist and endocrinologist. I had blood tests, sonograms, cat scans and all came back with negative results. I eventually developed blurry vision in my left eye. I visited my ophthalmologist, Dr Paul Sforza Jr. After his examination, he requested I take a battery of blood test. When the results of one of the blood test came back in the high range, my internist ordered additional blood work. The results of the additional blood test indicated I was having kidney failure. I was told to go to the hospital immediately. I was admitted and tested for many conditions. After a week in the hospital they diagnosed me with Tubulointerstitial nephritis and uveitis (TINU syndrome). I am presently being treated with steroids. I want to thank Dr Paul Sforza Jr for his exceptional professionalism in directing me to the proper blood test. I feel like he saved my life!
