Papa Poule

From the creators of Maman comes Papa Poule! Serving proper rotisserie chicken, delicious sauces and various sides and scrumptious home made Oreo among other brilliant attributes.

No seating apart from a small bench outside so be prepared to get cosy if you want to eat it while it’s piping hot.

The chicken is well seasoned, heavy on the herbs and moist to perfection. Our succulent chicken was stuffed with aromatics such as fresh thyme and rosemary, garlic cloves, a bay leaf and whole peppercorn which gave it such rich flavours. Try it!

A very nice place for takeout lunch near the office. I usually had the Chicken Club -- the portion was big and the ingredients were tasty.

Today I had the 1/4 Rotisserie Chicken with Brussels Sprouts and Red Pepper Aioli sauce. The chicken (from Quebec) was juicy and had a nice char on the skin, dunking it into the sauce and I got this complex flavor. The brussels sprouts were fresh and for $12.50 it was a fulfilling lunch in the SoHo area. The best item at Papa Poule, however, was the bone broth butt they only served it during wintertime.

Better than can be described! The hype is true and authentic New York food always wins.

We came during the week and had only a short wait- while we enjoyed admiring the amazing salads and take away food.

The service is all about volume and getting you in & out. The pickles are great and we devoured the hugest sandwich ever!! Of course we get the Ruben with the melted Swiss & thousand island on the side. The dressing was tangy and thick to accompany this endless pile of thinly sliced deli delicacy. The potato salad is chunky and filling and is advise to skip it & save room for dessert.

The tables are so close together you have to talk to other people- we learn our table neighbors came to carnegies literally 5 days in a row while vacationing. They raved about the cheesecake but we were too full!
