I don't think I've ever been satisfied leaving Othello deli everything from the tasteless food to the rude and slow service. I'd rather go to the Bodega a couple blocks up.

Absolutely amazing eveything about this place is great. The sandwiches are large and filling. The product selection with the dry food, perishables, and drinks is more than okay. But the best thing about this place is the sercice. Maybe it is just because we are regulars but everyone here is so nice, even after a wild night in the city (or the morning after). And they have saved my butt on more than one occasion when I forgot an ingredient or two for dinner. Special shout out to Jose and the evening/night crew. They really know how to make a customer feel welcome.

EVERYTHING at Othello is good, EXCEPT the coffee. They have the worst god damned coffee I have ever had. I'm serious. If you happen to work at Othello or maybe even own it, PLEASE for the love of whatever God you believe in get some decent coffee. Please.
Other than that, the prices are right, the sandwiches are good, the staff has always been quick and professional for me, and they've got a solid selection of just about everything you might need... Beer included.
