Really a shame that I am forced to give this place even one star. when you get to their office, they ask you to write a phony positive google review even before they send you to any rooms. Terrible customer service! Half of their phone lines don't even work and I would have to call several different numbers just to get someone to track down the agent that took my advance fee since the agent was completely ignoring me. Applied for a room and the decision to rent to me was dragged out for over a week so by the time we heard the landlord said NO, and we had to start looking again, all of the decent rooms were already rented! Total waste of time. They are unprofessional employees and each one gives you different answers to your questions as if they make it up as they go along. Just lie through their teeth to get you to put your money down. And they always seem so nice and friendly at first! So manipulative.

I knew I smelled a RAT! When I walked into their office, before paying the upfront fee, they offered a $5.00 discount if I agreed post a encouraging review before even using what turned out to be their bogus service. Room searching can be stressful and daunting, and the moment I stepped into the NYC Rooms For Rent office, I knew I smelled a RAT! But I paid the upfront fee because I was new to the City and needed to find a place. Nothing was explained to me, all my questions were never answered. I went on two room searches, and I finally gave up because the rooms were rundown garbage! The owner Vicky should be put in leg irons at the penitentiary!

Worst Nightmare Experience Ever, You Will See.

They tried to get me to write a favorable review in exchange for five dollars before they even RIPPED me off! What a bunch of thieves. They collected an advance fee, turns out they had no rooms in Manhattan and just a few crappy rooms in dangerous locations in the Bronx. Their incompetence and ineptitude knew no bounds and cost me lots of money in lost time more than what was needed in order to make a simple move. Moreover, they tried to get me to pay a one week security deposit to them as well (which should only be collected by the landlord). If you want to experience an easy and efficient move from one place to another, avoid NYC Rooms For Rent at all costs you will be very sorry! Google "NYC Rooms For Rent, BBB", you'll see their Better Business Bureau rating: "F".

I recommend NYRooms 4Rent. They are professional, courteous and sincere in their intent to find you a comfortable, clean and affordable space to live. Great starting point for anyone sincere and responsible during any transition in life.

They found me a room the same day in the area I wanted. They like actually showed me other places I just didn't wanted but only because I'm lazy and hate walking lol but this place is close to train next to park. Clean besides my messy self. Family speaks Spanish and English to me.that's cool. Very clean home clean building with locked doors at all times.and police in the area for grateful protection I feel so comfortable in my room.
