best pizza I have ever had. I have been coming here since I was in a stroller. The set up is the same as always with a counter in a front to take a pie home and a dinning room in the back. Its a mix between a New York slice and a Neapolitan. Every time I come to see my family on Staten Island I get two pies and bring them home and freeze them

Nunzio's didn't do it for me. I liked the picture of their old shop before they renovated it as it was really unique, and I'm disappointed they changed it. The new layout has a restaurant in the back, and a narrow pizzeria with no seating in the front. The staff was nice, but I didn't find the slice that much better than average. Their slice looks good aesthetically. There is a puffy crust, nice amount of char on the bottom, and whiteness of the cheese contrasts nicely with the deep red tomato sauce. Their sauce is very good, with a nice amount of acidity but not too much. The crust, although it has a bit of char, is very average tasting and wasn't as soft as I thought it might. The real problem is the cheese, which is thick, globby, and ends up unbalancing the slice. It wasn't so much bad quality processed mozzarella as it wasn't the right selection of cheese to put on a pizza. With a different cheese (Grande?), this slice could've been solid, but even then there was the crust. Regardless, a good slice for the neighborhood, but not among the best the Island has to offer.

Sicilian pizza was really good, just a little small. Also got a rice ball parm. There was no meat or peas or anything, just rice. What was in it was good, but left me wanting something more.

Pizza at Nunzio's is fresh and tasty and the slices are huge! I enjoyed the thin crust and the plentiful sauce. I also like the fact that they put fresh basil on their pies. If you love thin crust pizza, order a pie in advance for pick-up.
