Ninth Street Espresso

Don't drink coffee but tries the gelato here, it was fantastic. Service ok , she was friendly and chatted with other customers.

Ordered an espresso, and how dare I sweeten it. Got major attitude from the barista- how dare I ruin this craftsmans fine work. Cheers for the snarkiness. One star.

First time visitor. I asked for a double espresso. Guy at counter explained their espressos are strong. I said ok.m, I understand I'd still like a double espresso. Guy at counter started explaining the same thing again but adding "it's not like other espressos in America..." Like because I'm a foreigner I need special instruction. So Anyway I told him I'd still like a double espresso and if they're not willing to sell me one I'll just go elsewhere. He turns to the barista and says this guy wants a double espresso. Barista starts explaining for the third time. Good Lord I'm not stupid. I know my coffee. If you're not ready or willing to do what a customer wants just say so. I don't need a huge explanation of why your coffee is so damn special that it needs 2 guys to explain it 3 times.

First time visitor today. Asked for a cappuccino, received a latte. When asked if my order was correct, the nonplussed barista simply confirmed the name on the order and turned away. She was uninterested in making the order right. Their espresso was bland, so the result was an uninspiring drink completely overpowered by the milk. Their one-size-fits-all approach did not work for me.

Local places are always better. And this place is great. the best coffee, good service and good vibe. If you had enough of starbucks same-taste-coffee, try something new.
