New York City Police Department - 40th Precinct

No support from the community and you expect the police to go and proactively police, sorry harass, the people in your building. Move if you don't like it.

these officers here dont know law and the only people they serve and protect are there fellow officers,this place needs to be cleaned up,from the desk sgt. to the patrol.they are dangerous police,legal gangsters!

Just called the 40th to complain about the usual in my building first floor. No one picks up I called twice no one picked up. It's sad that on Christmas eve me and my family cannot sit and have dinner because of all the people standing in front of our door selling weed, coke, and dope yelling pissing on our door. Our entire apartment is full of weed smoke and we don't use drugs. My daughter is coughing and on her breathing machine with albuterol and its so unfair a 10 yr old has to go thru this. The 40th in my opinion needs a change in mentality we pay you to provide me us the public a service called safety which me and my family are not getting. We have done what we could up to the extent of the law. How much longer will this continue before people get hurt AGAIN.

The Worst Police force in the Country. I'm not just picking on the 40th Precinct. I'm talking about the whole thing. All 5 Boroughs. The 40th. Has on occasion stopped and frisked me back when that was going on heavy. I have the opposite problem from being black. Being White !?!?! I walked down to the corner store one night, out of cigarettes. I smoke the ones you roll yourself. So I was stopped and frisked for having what looked like a joint in a neighborhood I looked out of place in. I was harassed. They have to stop that quota system. They will arrest you for the stupidest things at the end of month just to meet quota...

They never like to answer the phone here.
The detectives do not like to do their job.
You have to do all the leg work and they like to avoid you like the plague just so they don't have to do anything.
Very frustrating.
We need detectives that do not like sitting on their behinds all day.
Help us when we come to you and not taking matters into our own hands.
