I went in person to the DOE. I had a very positive experience. The person I spoke with was very nice she checked my NYSED account for info that I needed. She even mailed me a form that I left behind.

I have been on hold for over one hour after being abruptly transferred without notice by a rude customer service agent. Incredibly unprofessional and condescending in her tone.

Sometimes very helpful, other times given the wrong information. It depends on who you get. DOE should have a better monitoring system for improving the quality of service.
