New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission

I went there for title and registration on a Tuesday morning at 7:45 AM. There was already a line in front of the building. I was maybe 25th in line. I was out the door by 8:45. The place is run down and they don't start working at the counters right at 8:00 AM but still the staff was friendly and the wait was not that bad.

Horrible horrible place and even for dmv standards! I wish it'd be privatized already. The place is so crowded and disorganized. There is no accountability when the staff gets nasty with you! Don't head out the door unless you know you have all the right documentation or else you would have wasted time and gas. If you're a miserable human being that loves to feel power and bring down somebody's day, work here!

I arrived at 7:30am to find that the line outside was already all the way down the street (not including the line to pay for parking at a broken machine). Doors opened at 8- I was still standing outside at 9:45am. Eventually made it inside around 10am where I see that there is only one woman checking 6 points of ID and 3 people printing out licenses.

Employees are outrageously rude, offensive and dumb. The whole process is utterly inefficient. How does it take over three hours to renew a license when I'm number 68 in line?

AVOID THIS PLACE. Go to another DMV.... any other DMV.

I wish I could give this agency a minus Star (-4 stars) They suck. There were very long lines. People took breaks with replacements. It took 2.5 hours to get a license. Are you kidding me. When I got to the counter to show my 6 point ID, I had a military DD214 form and I was asked if I wanted to have Veteran put on my license. Of course I said. When I got my license I did not notice that they had not put the veteran identification on the license. Now what? Do I have to stand in line again for another 2 .5 hours? Somebody should be taking a look at these people and what they are doing. They are pathetic.

This place isn't even worth one star! One representative to wait on over 40 people. I stood at the front of the line for over one hour while they plugged other people in front of me. Workers left to take breaks while in the middle of waiting on people. Absolutely horrific! I normally go to DMV in Randolph and have an experience 100 times better!
