They do sell a lot of nice stuff but they don't do refunds or exchange. I brought a pair of sandals for my daughter and they fell apart right the first time she had them on. I tired to return or exchange them and they said they can't do anything about it. And all I could do is to call the company and try to echange the sandals with them. So I called Birkenstock and they said if the store is an authorized seller they have to exchange the shoes for me. So after I spoke with her, I went back to the store. The manager was extremely rude and started yelling at me if I can't read that there is a sign no refunds and exchanges. I couldn't believe he was fighting with me for 30$ kiddie shoes! How can a manger treat customers like that? They should have this in their policy or acknowledge customers about it.
I don't recommend buying shoes in this store!! Stay away!
Taylor, let me correct you. You were not a by standing person but a retailer at the store!
I came in the morning and I respected you and the other retailer told me to call Birkenstock. I really never had an issue with exchanging items even to the local stores and I do shop a lot. I called the company and the manager of Birkenstock told me, what you said to me it's not right and you as an authorized seller HAVE TO exchange the sandals for me, she said to go back and that she will call the store. Soon as I entered the store, the manager went off being rude and having attitudes.
He asked what did I expect from 30$ sandlas!
Than why do you even sell them in first place?
This is clearly not how you talk to customers.
I have been working with people for many years, retails, banking, investment and I can't imagine talking to customers like that, I wouldn't get too far in life treating people like that.
I hope this review will influence the decision of people if to buy shoes in this store or not.
I'm trying to help people to avoid situations like this and there are many other local stores in Jersey city that treat their customers with respect.
