24 7 Deli

Calls itself 24 7 but when I really needed something at 2 in the morning on a Tuesday, I walk a few blocks from my apartment to find out they're closed. Thanks for literally nothing.

I go to this deli quite often and TOMAS aka mi amor takes such good care of me! I get a large coffee with a bacon egg and cheese with a hashbrown on a plain roll (I hate poppy seeds) and before Tomas would consistently care for me, my order would sometimes get screwed up somehow. Tomas is just the best. I am greeted from the minute I step foot in that place. In the afternoon or night I love the cluck'n chicken but I order it with swiss instead and no poppy seed roll. I also enjoy the chicken salad. They have a huge variety of sandwiches, chips, drinks, cookies, etc. One time I ordered ahead of time and they refried my curly fries because they didn't want them to be soggy. Now that's service. I told her she didn't have to do that but she insisted saying she wanted me to be satisfied with my order. And they're open 24 hours! Can't get better than that.

I used to come here all the time when I first moved to Jersey City. The sandwich/chips/soda deal was great. Then little by little I noticed the prices fluctuating until I realized that the late night employees were straight up charging me and my friends extra because they thought we were too drunk to notice. My friend called them out on it and they acted like it was a mistake. These guys will purposely try to screw you over. There are other 24/7 places in the area now that are more honest. Don't bother giving them business.
