Monter Cancer Center

The doctor I have is very smart about treatment management. She is extremely caring and knows how to provide encouragement that is informative and empowering.

Every nurse, technician, physician's assistant, greeter, and person working at a desk has been knowledgable, caring, welcoming and helpful.

It's Tuesday morning 9am 1/05/16 I just got disgusted by a nurse with a big and very disrespectful towards patient/family I'll let you know a fragment of discussion :
Her : You's know your "chemo" was at 8:30 am (rolling her eyes)
We: "Just looking at each other"
Her: And just to let you's know the patient can have just one guest the other can wait outside
Rolling one guest chair out side of the room so yes there was 2 chairs there
We: it's my fathers last round of treatment 12 rounds and you decide to reinforce this now?
Nurse was very rude, this was a special day for my family and especially my father.
Her bad morning reflected on us. Not nice at all, we came with 2 family members all the time every round and his last treatment the nurse decides to change that because she had a bad morning.
A big NO NO for Monter Cancer Center get her out or send her back to school she has no manners or professionalism.
Nurse Christine leave your problems home next time you work in a place field with people who need support not bad attitude !!!

This review is specifically about one doctor at the Monter Cancer Center - Dr. Steven Savona. I've met with four doctors regarding the same medical condition, and Dr. Savona's professional opinion was highly at odds with the other three doctors' opinions as well as what appears to me to be the generally accepted standards of care for this condition based on my own research. His recommended course of action was so different from that of the other doctors that it's quite difficult for me to comprehend. In addition, although I faxed his office all medical records prior to the appointment and was advised that he would review these documents before the appointment, he never even looked at any of them before my family and I arrived to meet with him. He didn't even know the basic reason for the appointment, nor did he have the faxed copies available, and I had to supply him with additional copies that I had luckily brought with me. On top of all of this, he struck me as a doctor that had little compassion for my family and I, and my family and I all found him to be very condescending to us. My experience with Dr. Savona was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a medical professional, and I would never recommend him to anybody (in contrast, the other three doctors I met with all had similar opinions/recommendations and were fantastic).
