Mokshaa Dance Academy

I joined Mokshaa with little formal dance training, and no desire to learn anything besides Hip Hop dance. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised when I realized I loved doing Bollywood fusion. I have tried out other dance schools, and teachers in the past but nothing ever stuck with me enough to enroll. What I loved about Mokshaa right off the bat was the inclusive and fun learning environment. My peers were extremely welcoming, diverse, and nothing short of hilarious. The founding director (Ruchi) made sure no one felt alienated, or uncomfortable in dance class. My peers quickly became some of my closest friends.

Not going to lie, the dancing was HARD! I have never seen choreography done the way its done at Mokshaa Dance Academy. I can honestly say this is a school for students who want to learn and push themselves in dance. If you come in with a open mind, and willingness to learn, you will gain so much and your dance skills will advance immensely.The best part of Mokshaa is the choreography and the teachers are all trained first hand by Ruchi to teach in a way that is easily translated for everyone in the classroom.

There is no other dance school I would recommend for anyone who is interested in bollywood fusion. I believe a wrap up of my first year will speak for itself.

My daughter has been dancing with Mokshaa Dance Academy for 5 years. She loves Ruchi and has grown tremendously with the school. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, energetic, lively Bollywood dance school!

Mokshaa Dance Academy is an amazing dance school. My daughter has danced in this dance academy for 2 years and she has learned more here than she has in any other dance academy. The dance teacher, Ruchi, is very dedicated and compassionate about her school. One of the saddest things my daughter had to experience after graduating from high school is leaving this Dance academy. Mokshaa will always be with my daughter during her dance career. I will definitely recommend this dance school to any age level and any dance level. Thank you for all you have done Mokshaa.

Mokshaa Dance has transformed my daughter as a dancer. Ever since she started last January, her performing skills have improved greatly. The teachers at Mokshaa have given her the support to find the confidence in herself, which radiates not only in her dance shows, but in Sonalis day to day life. I have seen such a big change in her. She has been dancing for a while now, and in all the other dance schools she has been to before Mokshaa she would be performing once, maybe twice a year. Now it's not surprising if Sonali does a few shows a month. Mokshaa has given her so many opportunities and the dedication of the teachers is remarkable. They work with her every single week. No matter what type of dancer your child is, Mokshaa will give you results you can't find anywhere else!

I have been with Mokshaa for about 8 years ago mainly in the Atlantic City and Edison, NJ locations. Mokshaa has taught me how to dance, how to build relationships, and most importantly how to feel comfortable within my own skin. Through this school, I have gained many lifelong friends who share the same love and passion for dance and the Indian culture which I have.

The instructors are truly amazing and love their work and most importantly the children. They really do make sure that everyone knows all of the details for the performances coming up and keep everyone in the loop. It is definitely a modern school which is very inclusive and unique in teaching Bollywood Fusion.
