Mitoushi

Excellent sushi and Japanese cuisine. The sushi is very fresh. The service is very good Erik the manager is friendly and attentive to his customers. Try the unadon and the rock & roll hand roll. The prices are very fair. Lunch for 2 with 6 rolls, soup and sake was $32 w/o tip.

One of the top Sushi places on the island. Mitoushi is a dimly lit place located in a strip mall. You can sit and get table service or sit right at the sushi bar and watch one of there 5 chefs prepare your roll right before your eyes.

The usually have a verity of specials on a board by the windows (sorta not on the side not easy to spot), the night I was there Yamato for $11.95 and a Wasabi lobster roll for $13.95 were some of the specials available available.

If you don't care for sushi they also have a nice selection of Japanese meals that come with a choice of soup or salad.

The service was good, my plate was cleared as soon as I was finished and my water glass always filled. They even came out to sing Happy Birthday to one of my dinner guests.

The NYC health rating is "B", there was some water on the floor on the way to the bathroom that made the floor very slippery that I told them to mop up.

Over all a very pleasant experience.

Always fresh sushi. The fried rice is awesome. Been going here about 3 - 4 years and always leave happy with my food. One of the (if not the single) best in Staten Island for Sushi. Service is good, but on a busy night I have once or twice felt a little rushed. Would def. recommend this place.
