I've been to many Indian restaurants, with a range of experiences. Mint often gets bought up as an excellent place to enjoy Indian food, but sadly it's not up to par.
My family and I were in the mood to get Indian food, and figured a Monday evening would be perfect because the restaurant would not be crowded. We were seated immediately, and that was the extent of the rush.
It took 20 minutes for a waiter to ask for our order, in an empty restaurant. Not sure what the guys were doing, no sports on the TV. Maybe they didn't consider us valuable customers?
Apparently Mint is only Indian restaurant in NY/NJ which does not offer papad for the table unless you specifically ask. We sat for 45 minutes waiting for our food, and it took one of our group to inquire where our food was to get a plate of papad.
On the topic of food, this is the first restaurant I've been to which does not offer rice with their entrees. I'm not sure if there is a basmati shortage but $6 for a small portion is unacceptable.
It isn't a saving grace but the food was OK, nothing extreme but good enough to enjoy. Waiting almost an hour for our meal definitely was not worth it, not in an empty restaurant.
Final mention to mandatory 18% gratuity for parties of 6 and up.

I like Mint. The menu is very friendly and something anyone can pick up and order from. We ordered the Lamb saag and the lamb chili, along with the crab cakes. It was good and the pineapple juice was great as well. They took too long bringing our cheque but wasn't a big deal.

Used to go here very often when I missed Indian food. Honestly Indian food is better to taste but it's not one of those foods which are easy to pack, these guys did a good job.
However, I feel the quality of the bread naan here was dissatisfactory and I always wished the packing didn't burn my hands
Other than that they got you feeling pretty full.
This is right next to chipotle.

Looked forward to eating here since the reviews were good and place looked nice. The food is very Americanized. Not spicy at all, and service was bad. If you like real Indian food, find a better restaurant.
