I love this grocery store!! I can find all of my unique Japanese spices, noodles, candies and more here!! Their packaged foods are fresh - prepared daily, tasty and affordable! I stop in at least once a week to purchase fresh sushi (they also have a sushi stand hand-rolled fretted, if you prefer - for the same price as the packaged sushi) and the staff is always friendly and delightful!

Katagiri is definitely the best Japanese Grocery Store in Manhattan.
I can get almost Japanese food I want in this small Japanese grocery store.

Nice selections : Premium Beef, pastries by Hamada-ya, freshly made Fugetsu-do wagashi, Japanese confectionery by Sakuraya and fresh vegetables from Suzuki Farm.

Prices are reasonable considering the area. The soba I usually buy from Mitsuwa is actually cheaper at Katagiri! They also sell buns from Hamada-ya Bakery at the same price as the bakery.
