Ming Yuan Chinese School

Yes. The principal and office lady are so mean. They don't even know what is respect each other. They don't even filter the ability of teachers. Some are good but some are extremely bad. Some classes are unlucky and got a bad lazy old teach, you can't learn anything and if you ask to change class, they talked very mean and not allowed. Bad experience.

It's mainly a Chinese school for Chinese kids, not Chinese American children. This means bullying by the Chinese kids because you aren't Chinese enough as a Chinese American. I still have many bad memories from those kid during the Summer program. Yeah I also attended the Saturday school too for almost 7 years.

All the lessons were taught only in Chinese Gongdong Hua or Pu Tong Hua. If your family is old school Tao shan Hua family good look find another school.

So if you had no clue what the teacher was saying there was no translation for it into English. So asking a classmate to translate for you would result in being scolded by the teacher for talking during a lecture. Yup that makes you really want to study more!

I left before they started all those SAT and other SAT Prep courses, but heard that took over from the cultural classes.

Oh yeah they are Catholic Affiliated too so be prepared to pray at every school gathering. Trust me finding a Chinese language school that isn't affiliated with a religious organization is like not eating white rice at each meal.

Its ok,but the principal and some of the teachers are mean.
