Midwood Driving School Inc

I'm writing my very first review because I believe that Midwood Driving School should be commended for their outstanding service. I began taking lessons in October of 2011 and am now a licensed driver taking highway lessons. I initially took informal lessons through friends and this is where I learned the bad habits that needed to be broken. John, the driving instructor, was extremely calm and patient as I continued to make turns incorrectly (not using the hand over hand method that's needed in order to pass the road test). He gave clear and concise instructions and has parallel parking and broken u turns down to a scientific method. My next door neighbor took driving lessons for months with other instructors and repeatedly failed the road test. He saw that I was taking lessons with John and scheduled an appointment. A few lessons later, he passed. What differentiates John from other instructors is his ability to recognize driving flaws and provide the proper guidance to correct them. The only negative thing that I could say is that he gets booked up very quickly so you should try to contact him at least a week in advance. Also, it took longer than anticipated to schedule my road test but that was because it takes a while for the DMV to have an opening. All in all, I highly recommend Midwood Driving School.
