Coming from a small town to New York City was a bit much at first but McCanns small town atmosphere helped in a big way. Their slogan is "Why Leave Astoria", and many nights when I debated whether or not to go to an overcrowded/overpriced bar in the city, McCanns came through. Their staff is friendly, bar food is delicious (they even have genuine buffalo wings), a good amount of beer selection (which is fairly priced), pool tables are NOW brand new, and they even shell out the darts on Saturday nights. Only downside I'd say are UFC nights, way to much testosterone in there, but I guess that's comes with the UFC crowd. Anyway, thanks McCanns, see you soon.

This is the only "Irish Pub" type bar in the neighborhood. It's a great place to go and watch the game or grab a late night drink. They have awesome specials all week long so it is always a plus on a Monday or Tuesday night. The crowd is mostly locals which is nice. The food is always good traditional pub fare.

The food is standard frozen microwaved or deep fried costco snacks, the service is friendly and it is extremly overcrowded at times. Overall a cool place to kick it once in awhile
