Great food and beer, outdoor seating, great staff

This is the absolute worst place in Manhattan. They accused me of trashing their bathroom when I never went into it, and charged me $50 as a clean up fee.

The bartender is a rude lying bastard. Avoid at all costs

I really wanted to like this place, because we live in the area and are always looking for fun, casual restaurants with good food. We go out to eat a lot and I'm honestly not overly critical about service, food, etc. Overall my experience was unpleasant enough to motivate me to post.

The food was bland and tasteless - which might have been overcome if anyone had bothered to check on me to find out if I needed anything (to which I would have responded "salt and pepper"). Worse though is that there was a stick about 4 inches long in my Chicken Palliard. At first the waiter told me it was an edible mushroom, which was strange (but mildly believable), except that it wasn't mentioned on the menu and there were no other "sticks" in the rest of the dish. Then I tried to bite into it --- nope, definitely not edible and definitely wood of some sort.

Fine, ok, there was wood in my meal, no problem. I asked the waiter to take the "wood" away and kept on eating. He never came back, never apologized, never checked on me. He did tell me after he delivered the check that the kitchen said it was part of the "Rosemary"' seasoning. I cook enough to know that Rosemary does not grown on sticks that large. But whatever, the point is that he might have made more of an effort to make sure I was enjoying my meal post-stick-removal. He did take my iced tea off the bill (but said nothing about it - strange) so minor points for that... But overall service was inattentive and food was not worth coming back for.

Pizza was OK, very spacious area. But mediocre menu options.
