Right around the corner for me. All of the staff welcomes you as you enter. Waiters are very friendly and accommodating. Price is right, especially for combo plates. The miso soup never disappoints. The food is fresh, and there are options for non-raw eaters who tag along. The best part is if you feel like staying in, you can order from their website. Great!

Matsu is a standard neighborhood sushi restaurant. It used to be my favorite when I lived down the street: inexpensive, fresh, ad reliable. It's been several years since my last visit and I wasn't as enthralled as I once was. Side salad is served in a pool of watery and bland dressing. Sushi is standard in terms of both variety offered and freshness and presentation. Miso soup was quite good. Service, as always, was lovely and accommodating. I can see popping in for an affordable bite if you live nearby, but it certainly isn't a destination.

Great miso and seaweed salad. Fresh sashimi and happy hour sake makes a great healthy meal. Hot towel when you sit down is a nice touch.
