Reviews to Mario's Classic Pizza
I am gluten free and finding a decent pizza that is gluten free has become difficult. I gave this place a try and it was better than I expected. As far as gluten free pizza crust goes, most places taste like cardboard. Mario's actually came close to real pizza crust. I was pleasantly surprised. It even came with its own plastic pizza cutter (nice touch). Was it the best gluten free pizza I have ever had? definitely not. Was it the worst? definitely not. Would I eat it again? Maybe.

I have been buying pies from Mario's for over 20 years. In the last year or so the pizza has changed. Tasteless, no tomato sauce. The sauce on his pies use to taste like fresh tomatos. Not anymore. This is not the same pie Mario made in the past. Kids making pies and they could care less about the quality. They will be the end of your business Mario.

We like Mario. His "beat the recession" deal is no match. Great food , and very friendly

This is my favorite pizza in hobo! Not the biggest, not the cheapest, but the tastiest plain slice. I recommend a slice with onions.

This place was HORRIBLE!!!! First, the service was terrible, run by high school students who don't care about the restaurant or the customers. The pizza tasted like an old man chewed up a tomato, then spit it on cardboard, covered it with flavorless cheese, and baked it way too long. I'm 39 years old. And in 39 years, this is, by far, the worst, most disgusting pizza I've ever tasted.
I was with my wife and son. I was starving and ordered two slices. I only ate about a third of one slice, as I was starving. I couldn't take it anymore... the rest of that slice and the other promptly went into the trash can. We ordered chicken wings that were way over cooked and even though we requested mild sauce, they were covered with plain hot sauce. I ate one, and again, to the garbage it went. My wife ordered a Shrimp Parm hot sandwich that tasted like tomato paste, flavorless string cheese, and fishy shrimp. Tossed in the garbage again. And my son's slice, which was served scorching hot to a 5 year old, was also inedible. He filled up on fruit snacks in the car. And for a 5 year old to not want pizza when he's hungry, you know it's bad.
This fantastic dining experience came at the low price of around $32 for a few slices, one sandwich, and a few pigeon wings with hot sauce and two bottles of soda. The soda was the best part of the meal.
Absolutely the worst pizza I've ever had the misfortune of putting into my body. I apologize to my wife and my son for putting them through this. Please don't waste your time on this place. Hoboken has amazing pizza joints. This is NOT one of them. Save your money and go elsewhere. RUN from this place...
