I ordered a custom buttercream cake from Lulu's. It was a vanilla cake with passionfruit mousse and strawberry fruit fillings, which tasted delicious. However, they did not do my design correctly. I asked them to comb the sides of the buttercream, and when I arrived at the bakery it was just plain. When I notified the store associate that it wasn't combed, she gave me an excuse that the baker didn't spend as much time on the cake as he thought he would. What does that even mean?!?! This was an expensive order, and it was such a disappointment that they either forgot to do it or just didn't do it. Then she gave me a $10 gift card because of that mistake, and said the baker told her to give that to me. It seems to me that he intentionally didn't finish the cake if he told her that before I arrived, but that doesn't make it better. I did spend a portion of the credit on the passionfruit macarons, which tasted terrible. The shells was way to crumbly, like it had too much air, and the chocolate filling did NOT match with the passionfruit flavor at all. Also, for a note to future customers, the ratio of buttercream to cake is off. On mine, there was literally almost a half-inch thick of buttercream that you can't really eat, and not enough cake for the price. I don't know if it's like that with the regular cakes but I wasn't very satisfied with my order.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Lulu's. It forever be my bakery spot until I die! Went there when I was younger, got old enough to work there, worked there for a couple years and still always go back!

Charlie, the owner and pastry chef, puts his heart and soul into every thing that is made in that shop. It is absolutely the best pastries I've ever had. Everything I try at another bakery I will compare to Lulu's. What can I say I'm spoiled! I don't eat canolis anywhere else because they just don't taste as good as Charlies!

The shop itself is small but the variety is HUGE! Now, I go to a bakery and the space is huge but the selection isnt. At Lulu's you're bound to find something you like, whether is the morning pastries, cookies, fruit tarts, whole cakes or cup cakes or bread-- trust me you'll find it!

Be sure to try the seven c's if you're a chocolate lover! It's my all time favorite! The strawberry cheesecake is to die for and all things canoli/canoli cream! Absolutely amazing! Love this place, love Charlie and the awesome girls/guys he has behind the counter!

I have ordered custom cakes from Lulu's few times. They are always baked and prepared to utmost perfection. Taste is immaculate as well. Staff is very professional and friendly. I would recommend their bakery for all occasions. By far it's the top-notch bakery in Tri-state area.

I googled bakeries in queens for my sister's birthday. It was my first visit and it was awesome! So many items to choose from and the taste is thick, rich, delicious and on point! Some items can sell out since they are popular, so try ordering ahead. The staff are great and helpful. It is also in a convenient spot, if you're traveling by bus, take the q46 and stop by 188th street and the bakery is near a rite aid and chase bank on the other side.I have tried many bakeries in queens, NY and Lulu's is another excellent and exquisite bakery in NY.
