This is a Really Interesting little shop in the city. What I mean by this is that the coffee shop has surfboards on display for sale in this concrete city. I went into the shop and ordered an Espresso and she handed me a small cup espresso and another glass with sparkling water! What da I was confused to see sparkling water with my espresso. I was thrown off again but interested and asked why the sparkles. She advised me that its a palate thing and suppose to enhance the coffee taste. Okay going back to the surfboards not sure but I will definitely go back for another. I'm curious about their tea now.

Coffee was good and simple. A great low key place to study and get some work done with great reggae music. Good way to start the day or end it.

Top notch barista made me an excellent cappuccino, they use milk from the farmers market which really elevates the quality of the beverage. Clean, laid back ambiance is rivaled only by superior service. Barista was friendly and cute. Overall great spot

Lost Weekend is a surf-themed coffee shop on the Lower East Side. Coffee is delicious — top notch beans are carefully brewed. Service is bright and pleasant. The space is relaxed and welcoming, decorated with surfboards and photos of famous surfers. Some clothing, accessories, and books are available for purchase. A neat and unexpected paradise nestled in the folds of Chinatown.

I wouldn't have written this review if the person above hadn't described Lost Weekend as having "plenty of space". This is a combination coffee shop/surf shop with boards, books and good espresso. Not sure whether the boards and decks were for sale but the books and ephemera seemed to be. There is one central table that seats about 8 and a window bar with seating for maybe four. Okay, I'm not trying to be overly critical, I had great coffee here served with a smile and friendliness unusual for Manhattan. I will definitely go back, but don't come here expecting plenty of space unless you're from downtown Tokyo.
