Lord & Taylor in Garden City cannot help, but remind me of old money and stiff grandmother's buying sweaters for their unhappy grandkids. Boy was I surprised with the selection, the poshness of the store and the friendliness of the staff, not to mention the gorgeous patrons. Great selection. Not just your mother's Lord & Taylor.

It's a fairly large store. I think my husband said the men's section is slightly outdated, women's section is good (could use more dress selection) and the kids section is great. The reason for the 5 stars is the customer service on the 2nd floor, everyone up there has been wonderful and incredibly helpful!!!

Nice store with plenty of complimentary parking. There is always a sale going on. The clothes are upscale, including designer clothing. High quality clothes. They also carry shoes, perfume, make up, men's department. Prices are reasonable for the quality. The sales people are very helpful. I love shopping here.
