Lisbon Restaurant

Ordered grilled chicken, sautéed vegetables and linguini. The chicken was too tough and the noodles were smothered in oil, disgusting.

Also got mozzarella sticks, so freaking greasy. They had candy out by the door too, tasted like the crap your grandma would leave in her parlor and thought tasted fine but in all reality, her tastebuds stopped working around the time when Lincoln was assassinated.

Hella overpriced as well.

Visited Lisbon Restaurant this evening with a friend. We did not have a reservation, but the place was not packed so getting a table was no issue. The staff there is prompt and straightforward. Between the two of us, we had salmon (Lisbon Style), shrimp in a garlic sauce, and the flambé chouriço, all of which were delicious. The portions are very generous, and all entrees come with rice and vegetables or pasta. Recommended, and well worth the moderate price.

First off, the atmosphere is fine - a little restaurant, cozy, etc. I ordered the shrimp garlic appetizer: $9.95 "Okay..." It came almost cold and over cooked, albeit the sauce was nice... The shrimp where a bit bigger than the ones that come in cans...
Red flag here: The cook should be checking the food he cooks, failure #1; failure #2: the waiter should have checked the food he's serving! Failure #3: I probably should have said such which probably might have prevented the next episode, but that's not all my fault...
The waiter should know what's on the menu! A decent sized man usually wants a good sized dinner! He should have noted that the entree was only going to be a 'few' (5 in my case) shrimp... I ordered the Garlic Shrimp jumbo... At least this was hot, albeit over cooked again... Rather than make a fuss I patiently waited for the others to finish. Then I payed the bill and left.

As noted, multiple failures on their part gave me an experience I can not recommend to anyone else whom may consider dining at this restaurant. It seems like 'they' are trying to be high class establishment but without any quality control... Given, I should have said such at the entree, but if they did their job right, I shouldn't have to say anything!!!
