Reviews to Lindenwood Laundromat
When we moved to the neighborhood about 3 months ago, I tried out both Lindenwood and the laundromat in the strip mall on the other side of the block. I do my own laundry vs. the drop-off. Lindenwood was slightly cheaper, so I chose it for my laundry needs. For about 6 weeks I was there weekly to do my laundry. It was a little frustrating trying to get around the place since it is in a very small area and the aisles are hard to navigate with a rolling basket of clothes, especially when other people are there doing their laundry since there's barely room for a clothes basket, let alone two. What eventually made me stop going there was twofold, aside from the squeeze.
1) More and more I was getting there and finding the machines out of order. I have a large family and use the large washers. The last week I went there, ALL of the high-capacity machines were not working. More than once I wasted my time waiting for a dryer to finish only to find it wasn't working and my clothes were still wet. Some weeks it seemed like more machines were not working than were. I don't have the time nor money to waste on a laundromat that isn't functioning properly.
2) The ladies who work there often were unprofessional almost to the level of rudeness. They would have the drop-off laundry sitting in the middle of the aisle and not even make a move to move it when I was trying to get past with my laundry. They more than once were loudly complaining about their work, often with a fair amount of profanity, as I was there working on my clothes. They were sullen when I would speak to them or ask for something, usually with the attitude of my having inconvenienced them.
After the visit with all the high-capacity washers being out of order, I started going to the laundromat in the strip mall weekly. It's slightly more expensive, but it's navigable, the workers are professional, and the machines actually work. I went back today, however, to stick some bedding in the dryer to kill any lice brought home from school by my child. As I was leaving, the worker heard my reason for being there and without any preamble or pretense at professionalism told me not to come back again.
Very well, I shan't. I am now permanently going to the other laundromat, since they actually seem to value the money I spend.

I just moved to the neighborhood and brought my stuff to Lindenwood Laundromat. When I brought my clothing in I was greeted by a gentleman named Anthony who told me he is now the NEW owner and assured me that my clothes are in good hands. I'm 30 years old and work in the city so the less time i spend at the laundromat the better. Not only do they deliver my washed and folded laundry to me, but they pick it up as well, and the price is perfect! I've never had the luxury of having my clothes picked up and delivered so having Lindenwood nearby is a blessing for me! If your busy and don't have much time to spend at the Laundromat, you will be more than satisfied with the service you'll get here!

- Terrible #70392
After being a customer at the Lindenwood Laundromat for two years (spending $50/week+ on their drop-off service), an employee bleached 40 pounds of my clothing. We wanted to come to a quick resolution with the owner - he compensated us $100!!!! For a brand new bag containing - 3 sweaters, 2 pairs of dress pants, bed sheets, tank tops, towels, and more... The managers SCREAMED AT US - "What the hell do you want? $1000????". They are HORRIBLE - I have recommended them to over 50+ families in the neighborhood and will be retracting it! When a business wants your business regardless of an error - pay up and you'll see the money in return in the future! This place is horrible - they were always misplacing our clothing (and we never said anything).. Now after seeing how they react towards customers in a bad situation - NEVER AGAIN... stay away from this place. There are plenty of other good laundromats in Howard Beach (i'd prefer Mickey's over this place-- THAT'S BAD!!!)
