Library Lot 2

Good lot for Parking and being close to Library, and local sores which there is number of nice small shops with very personable people.. While not the closest for daily commuting back and forth to New York, you will usually find a space and then take a 5-8 minute walk to the NJ Transit Train Station.

South Orange is a place I would not recommend anyone to live. Yes like the user mention it look nice. But once you move there you will find out things that would make you want to move. Alot of loud young people. Cops tend to bother you and follow you for no reason -- it you say something about it -- they bother you more.
But once you been there awhile you realize most of the people that you see are from East Orange, Newark etc low income areas.

I have been living in South Orange for a little over 6mos now. Its a beautiful town, however looking past the beauty there is the ugliness of parking in South Orange. There are permits for everything from Commuters to Resident Day AND Night permits. At first I had no problem with this, until I found that most of the time I'd have to park in a lot two -to three minutes away from my residence, also there is a town ordinance that states you can't park on the street from 2AM - 6AM. How inconvenient is this? Lets just say if you want to move to this town don't rent, because the laws are not fair for renters, you will not be able to park near your residence because there are no exclusive resident lots. Yes you are competing with visitors, Seton Hall students, and shoppers for parking. Its unfortunate and I can't wait to move.
