Worst ever!!! Don't move here! We had lived there for almost four years. The management team just got worse and worse. Some staff don't know what they are talking about and give out all sorts of wrong information. They are rude and never call back as they promised. Just give one example, when we moved out and need to dispose two tables along with four chairs. We were already given a quote of $75 for each table to dispose (the chairs go with the table). On the day before our move, I called the management office to confirm the items. The guy who received my call told me in a cold voice:"$80 each piece, each chair counts a piece and you have six piece!". I was shocked and told him I was quoted $75. He then checked with someone and back to the phone and say "yes, $75 each piece. You are right" and then "Ok, you know the price, then why you are calling?". I was really speechless. This is the way they treat their customer. The guy then firmly repeat "each chair counts a piece". That would come to $450 to dispose a small dinning table set with a desk! I have other even more awful issues that we are dealing with them. I will come back and update when I got an answer from them.

Hell on earth. It should be called Liberty Hell (Liberty Bell, get it?) Lived here 2 yrs and hated 75% of the time here. Electric bills for a one bedrrom apartment are $200-$300 per month for winter or summer since they don't use central ventialation system, instead they use cheap window units motel style that go through the walls below the windows. Walls are paper thin, hear neighbors do everything from urinating to loving. Do not be fooled by large space and price, it's for a reason, it's hell, you'll regret it, run!

I have lived at the building for a number of years and have watched it slowly decline. The building is currently undergoing a significant rehabilitation with all of the common facilities (pool, gym, ect.) being closing indefinitely. As a result of the construction work, water is suspended on a regular basis with no notice to tenants. Often this happens first thing in the morning or late in the evening when people take showers. In addition, the construction work is extremely messy and noisy. When water is not shut off, we receive notices that it is not safe to drink because it contains brown sludge.
If you expect a view of anything, you will have a view of a 30 foot construction crane. Building residents were advised that the work will be completed by Spring 2014, but contractors and the Jersey City building department have advised that such a deadline is completely unrealistic.
Construction issues aside, the owners of the building are leasing out apartments as hotel rooms and the building is full of transient guests. This has been more and more common over the last year. Apartments are also rented out to numerous individuals - I had a one bedroom on my floor with 8 adults living in it. This is not uncommon for the building.
UPDATE: Multiple letters have now been circulated to residents that there is an ongoing problem of burglaries!

Literally the worst apartment complex in history. I was looking for a new place last August for a September move in. The sales associate I met with showed me the property and I signed a lease because it was convenient and looked nice. NEVER did she mention that a month after my lease was to start, the building would be undergoing MASSIVE, QUALITY-OF-LIFE-ALTERING construction (that construction is STILL going on almost a year later and has made life miserable). That sales associate exhibited, at the least, negligence, and in all likelihood, criminal misrepresentation. Additionally, the callousness and lack of professionalism exhibited by the management office in the wake of this construction and in other matters has made living at Liberty Towers an incredible hassle.

This deli has a store in the back where you can get your basic goods. The selection for groceries is that of a typical NYC bodega, and the prices are a close match as well. During lunch time, they do have a good selection from a salad bar and the food tastes pretty good. I like their fresh bread selection too. Although i don't like their $10 min limit for a credit card charge, so if i'm out of cash, i go elsewhere.
