LensCrafters Optique

I ordered a pair of frameless oakley glasses and the process of ordering was pretty smooth. Things got worse after actually. Lenscrafter workshop could not mount the lenses without breaking them, so they had to redo it three times. I received my glasses three months after estimate of delivery date, and I had hard time to push lenscrafter to accept to change the starting date of their 90 days warranty from the moment I got the glasses instead of the ordering date (basically I would have had no warranty).
Also lenscrafter changed the lenses to thicker ones because they were unable to build it.
One lens finally cracked after 11 months, and I had to re-order lens, without warrant since Lenscrafter had not proposed the 1 year extra warranty.
I wish there were a bit more competition to Lenscrafter in the Upper West Side (I went to Optyx, their offer is way out of my budget).

I recently visited the 90th street Lenscrafters location for convenience sake; it is located right in my neighborhood. I found their selection of eyeglass frames pretty limited. Dr. Amita Patel, OD was friendly and professional, but came across as a bit inexperienced. She speaks very quickly, and the appointment felt rushed. If you wear eye glasses, you get your eyes checked every 2 years, and you want to be sure that you have the right prescription. That requires a patient doctor.
