I was upset that I had not been here sooner. First time eating Sri Lankan food and I will be back! The whole place is intricately decorated and the buffet had a great assortment of rices, meat/veg dishes and desserts. I tried a little of everything and everything was tasty. I did not go for the spicy options, but might next time. Staff was lovely and helpful. Prices totally affordable given its still New York.
Short/easy bus ride from Staten Island Ferry station. It was actually not a hassle to get there and my taste buds were not disappointed. Thanks!

If you are trying Sri Lankan food for the first time, this is the place to go. The buffet has a nice, varied selection with foods familiar enough to not be overwhelming and exotic enough to provide a new, exciting taste and experience. The desserts, especially the mango mousse, are simple yet very tasty will have you coming back for more. The incense smell can be a bit strong sometimes especially for those of us not used to it, but you will quickly get used to it and will be too distracted by the great food to care. It is a bit snug and there is only room for a few big parties at once, but Lakruwana definitely tops the list of go-to restaurants if you want to try something new.

Awesome....Great place to get dinner and lunch. I have never been here for the buffet so I can't soak about that, but I've eaten lunch and dinner and the food good, portions are a good size and service not bad. The inside is very nice and feels "authentic", but the taste is definitely authentic but slightly Americanized as done traditional food may be slightly alerted at your request.you would never eject this gem based on the outside looks. Go here.

Awful Buffet. We had their dinner buffet and the food was cold and not properly heated up. In addition the chicken was extremely hard and was old stock being reheated multiple times
When we asked the owner he started giving flimsy excuses about the food being kept in earthen pots and hence will be cold.
The buffet spread in terms of quality doesn't justify $12.95 price tab
I would certainly not recommend this place to anyone
One of the worst dinner experiences !!!
