La Rosa has great fresh meat; nothing better to have fresh ground for burgers. The Dominican sausage, Longaniza, is a spicy treat. The produce selection is small yet really well done. Lots of staples for making great meals and a nice selection of specialty items. On Broadway between the A train stops on 175 and 181, a block from Malecon and across from the Palace theater.

The place was not full of flies, the people are great. They have the best meat selection for little bodegas that I have found. Hell, they sell chicken back so I can make stock. They also have quail eggs for crying out loud!
People who have given this place a bad rating are probably don't know what they are talking about and are probably from the 'burbs
