A wonderful doctor who probably saved my sight. Took me in as emergency, made arrangements for me with a surgeon to do double biopsies to "rule out temporal arteritis" an inflammation of arteries which can cause loss of vision (elderly-prone).He and his team- a fantastic staff person JOANIE as well as an assistant GARY who gave me a peripheral vision test - helped me feel safe and in competent hands. Joanie kept in touch with me, handled bloodwork arrangements, followed up with prepping for hospital/ surgical procedure, talked with my pharmacy to make sure my RX was handled. Dr Kupersmith personally spoke with SURGEON Dr Della Rocca at NY Eye & Ear to secure arrangements for this grueling 2-hr surgery, which took place the very next day. Dr Kupersmith dictated letters to my primary care doctor, oncologist and even brought up an old record of an EMG test done years ago mentioning the name of the neurologist who performed the test, which established peripheral neuropathy in both hands...
