About once a month my wife and I walk by Kow Loon, and, each time she gets a six pack of the red bean buns. I don't find them particularly delicious, but, I never been a big fan of red bean buns. When I ask my wife why she likes them, she tells me because the bean paste is nice and fresh and just subtly sweet. So, there you have it, I'm sure that is extremely helpful.
I always get one of the $.95 sponge cakes. It's kind of like eating an unfrosted cupcake that is very light (no butter?) and just barely sweet. I think the real reason I like them is because they taste exactly like the ubiquitous sponge cake I bought everywhere in china. Plus, they go nicely with bubble tea and coffee.
And this concludes what is most likely a useless review of a decent little Chinese bakery.
