Unpretentious and helpful service, good burgers & steaks, neighborhood classic. Crowd definitely skews older. Great for an easy dinner!

The Knick is an institution in the village, a classic NY steakhouse with cramped seating, live piano on some nights, always crowded, excellent steak and cornbread, good wine, bustling service. NY steakhouse are not places to go where you will "get to know" your waiter, but the staff is usually friendly and there food is good. Very expensive. Reservations recommended. Have the onion rings on the steak-very nice addition.
