Great cruelty free food. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Took my non vegan sibling here and he loved the meatball sub. Also got a smoothie, Mac and cheese, and panini for myself. Loved it!

I have been a vegan for a long time and have eaten in most of the places in the New York City metropolitan area that are vegan that are worth the trip and this place was the worst hands down.
The very name of the restaurant is "KILLER VEGAN" and implies, since the area the restaurant is in is not unfashionable or impoverished, that the owners could have picked a more appropriate or health oriented name with which to gain loyal customers. The potatoes were half mashed and lumpy. The gravy was cold and half baked The burger was small and the portions of everything were small EXCEPT the price tag. Not including the tip the price tag was ASTRONOMICAL. Way out of bounds. Eating vegan costs A LOT LESS than eating animal based foods, so how can the meals here be 6x the price of a hamburger? Is that the way to introduce people to a healthier lifestyle? And one last thing. They have an "ALL YOU CAN EAT DAY" once or twice a month and it actually says on the menu in WRITING to the customers "ALL YOU CAN EAT NOT ALL YOU CAN WASTE". My impression of them is that they are confused but trying to eat right and in the process pass the excessive cost of that onto their customers, some of whom like me have been vegan for over 20 years and really don't require the introduction. Not a top choice of mine in the area. The only good thing was their cake and soy milk, but the portions were so withheld that I actually felt out of place trying to eat there. It was very clean though and spotless.

Excellent vegan grub at a fare price. Service pretty good. Chairs horribly uncomfortable. Nice spot for a quick bite.

As far as the food is concerned I enjoyed it a lot except for the atmosphere. They were playing uncensored rap music which offended a family with a young boy. They only changed the music after the father requested. Plus I felt it would take forever to check out because we were being ignored because that particular person wanted to hold an extended conversation with someone. So I sat down not like the place was busy. Then when I finally checked out I was coldly charged additional prices.
